Past Life, Present Power

As the soul grows

in service to the Great Feminine

and her intention that all beings

be healed and free,

it gathers internal resources

to assist on the path.

These resources include powers

and gifts from other lifetimes.

You are currently integrating

past-life abilities.

Be open to what is taking place

as your soul awakens

ancient power and abilities in you.

Archetypes

The Warrior

We often envision The Warrior as an armouredfigure with sword in hand moving blindly toward battle.

Yet the deeper aspects of this archetype bring us face to face with death itself.

The Warrior stands precariously at the edge of life and death, trusting the eternal to guide the sword’s blade.

The Warrior’s work requires presence, alignment, and purpose.

If and when the Warrior loses its center, meaningless confrontations and violence are their default response.

When this card appears, it is important to question the battle at hand. It is likely a great one, with deep roots and long-standing tensions.

The actions you take will stay with you long after the dust settles, so choose wisely, brave one. As you draw your sword, realign with the eternal wisdom within. Then surrender to the battle.

When light it is fierce clarity, purposeful action, resolve, resilience. When dark it is threats, savagery, abandoning missions and values.

61 – The Way of Inspiration

The 61st hexagram concerns transcendence of mind.

We are all crazy in the sense that craziness points towards a loss of touch with ordinary reality; the planes of reality that are far beyond what we generally refer to as ‘normal’. There is a precarious balance to be struck – if we go too far from our walking reality and are unable to return and integrate the experience, we may be labeled an unstable psychotic. But if we don’t even dare venture beyond the terrain of our mind, we’ll be a stable psychotic.

Generally when we look around, we don’t see a world created by the heart, but rather one by the mind. It’s come about through greed, lust for power and fear of death.

To find wisdom we have to give up knowledge. Wisdom is alive, vibrant, wild, spontaneous, illogical, paradoxical. This is a journey of unlearning. The secret to this is the healing power of creativity. It allows us to listen to that which comes from within, from beyond the veil, and to reimprint our awareness with its truth.

Inspiration is playing with the music of creation. To be inspired means to be filled with the breath of life. This is the secret to how we can break out of our psychosis, we become a creator.

Holy life begins with inspiration, then it becomes a life of higher striving and finally it becomes the life of self-emptying, in which all that we have learned is released.
